If you’re dreaming of an intimate destination wedding or elopement in Aruba, this heartfelt celebration is the perfect inspiration and I am your go to for an Aruba wedding photographer. From a gorgeous Airbnb in Noord to private vows in Arikok National Park and a romantic ceremony on Eagle Beach, this day was everything—authentic, emotional, and wildly beautiful.

A Love Story Over a Decade in the Making

Some love stories are written in the stars, and others begin with McFlurries at McDonald’s—this one has a little bit of both. Rachelle + Jim met when they were just teenagers over 10 years ago at Dunkin’ Donuts (can it get more Massachusetts than that?), and after their first date for ice cream, the rest was history.

Jim popped the question in Jamaica—inside an overwater chapel with glass floors, rose petals, and candles in the shape of a heart. It was a total Pinterest-worthy proposal followed by a private candlelit dinner on the beach. And to top it all off? They decided to get married exactly 10 years after their very first date.

Getting Ready at a Dreamy Airbnb in Noord

Instead of a traditional hotel, the couple chose a stunning private Airbnb tucked in Noord for their wedding week—an ideal home base for an intimate Aruba wedding. With tons of natural light, peaceful vibes, and space for their closest family, it made for a beautiful and stress-free getting ready location.

They spent the week enjoying the island with their families, turning their destination wedding into a once-in-a-lifetime vacation together. The night before the wedding, they hosted a welcome dinner on a sunset sailboat cruise—dancing under the stars and soaking in the magic of Aruba.

A First Look in Arikok National Park

After getting ready, we took off to Arikok National Park, one of Aruba’s most jaw-dropping natural landscapes. Surrounded by desert terrain, wild cacti, and ocean cliffs, they shared an emotional first look that was so intimate and heartfelt. It was a moment just for them—and it felt sacred in all the right ways.

We wandered around the park afterward, capturing the stunning contrast between Aruba’s dramatic desert landscapes and pristine coastline. That’s the magic of Aruba: one island, so many beautiful backdrops.

A Romantic Ceremony on Eagle Beach

They chose Eagle Beach for their ceremony—a white-sand paradise with turquoise water and swaying palms. With only their immediate families present, it was an intimate and meaningful celebration filled with love, laughter, and happy tears.

As the sun began to set, they said “I do” with the sound of the waves behind them, barefoot in the sand, surrounded by the people who matter most.

A Private Dinner and a Week to Remember

After the ceremony, the newlyweds slipped away for a private dinner for two—just the two of them soaking in their first married moments. No stress, no crowds, just joy and presence and deep love.

The entire week was a dream. From beach days and snorkeling to sunset sails and stargazing, this was more than just a wedding—it was an experience. One they’ll never forget.

Looking for an Aruba Wedding Photographer?

Whether you’re planning a full destination wedding or a quiet elopement for two, Aruba is the perfect island escape. It’s filled with hidden gems, unforgettable views, and the most welcoming energy. Staying at an Airbnb gives you the flexibility to design a celebration that’s totally your own—from relaxed mornings with your favorite people to spontaneous adventures and private toasts on the beach.

This day proves that you don’t need a big guest list or a ballroom to make your wedding unforgettable. All you need is love, your people, an island like Aruba, and me to capture your entire day!
