Anne and Phil celebrated their wedding at the beautiful venue of Shepherd’s Run in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. This day was full of intention, joy, and devotion. This venue is wonderful because you can do it all right on property! They got ready up in the suites, had their ceremony in the onsite chapel which had beautiful dreamy light, cocktail hour out on the lawn, and the reception in a big tent below. The decor was minimal, but this is a venue where really, less is more. And it worked so well. Their neutral greenery florals adorned the tables & ceremony arbor, and rentals tied everything together beautifully. For dinner, they had a spread of delicious vegan/vegetarian options which Blackstone did an amazing job with. DJ T Rex had the party cranking all night long & these are some of my favorite dance photos to date! This day was so successful because Anne and Phil truly put all their trust in their vendors, and followed my top tips to make sure your timeline runs smoothly. Definitely adding Shepherd’s Run to my favorite wedding venue list asap!

The Story: During the summer of 2017, Old South Church created a kickball team to increase youth bonding within the church. The team went 1-8 with many injuries, but it wasn’t a total loss. The first baseman, Phil, and the second baseman, Anne, had a chance to ‘hit’ it off. While the team only lasted one season, Anne and Phil have lasted since. Anne has learned to tolerate board games and Phil has taken several barre classes. Anne has gotten into watching the West Wing and Phil has gotten into cooking gluten-free food. More than anything, it has felt right ever since they started dating in October 2017. So when Phil proposed after a sunrise hike at the Blue Hills Reservation outside of Boston in July, all they wanted was to have a big kick butt wedding with the people that have been a part of their lives!
