Urban-Retro Rhode Island Elopement

This chilly 20-degree afternoon in downtown Providence had nothing on Cass + Tom. Ready for some gorg Rhode Island elopement inspo?

I spent the afternoon with these two adventuring on the streets of downtown Providence with the wind blasting everywhere we went. And I’m talking everywhere – but somehow these two didn’t even seem to mind!

The Details

Cassie started the day off getting her hair and makeup done by Miranda Lynn Hair + Beauty in the early afternoon, before we adventured downtown. Miranda gave her the most beautiful, simple retro waves and let her soft makeup + accessories do all the talking. I can’t get over the chunky headband Cassie wore – it was the sweetest compliment to hoer vintage W by Worth dress and added so much to the look! A stylish AF couple am I right?

Cass and Tom tied their looks together with a fluffy bouquet of soft pink florals from Sarah’s Floral. Sarah did an amazing job featuring a variety of cream-colored flowers to match their simple elopement look!

The Evening

After running around the streets for a while trying to warm up, we ended on a rooftop garage for the final sunset lighting of the evening. I’ll let you in on a lil’ secret: the golden glow coming from the building in the last few photos? It’s actually the reflection of the sunset – not even the sun behind Cass and Tom. We had to be sneaky to figure out how to get that golden glow shining on them as much as possible!

After we finished, the two of them went off and spent the night in Newport together. They found the perfect little mini-moon destination for New Englanders!

Thanks to these two for the most fun afternoon and for stickin’ it out with me in the freezing cold. Now who wants to create a unique vintage/retro look for their elopement after seeing these photos??Add block
